“I’d rather be ME than a BULLY” is the slogan selected by the steering committee of the Bully Project in Greene County (BIG).
The slogan, suggested by 14-year-old Jasmine Blumberg of Grand Junction, will be lettered in blue on the back of orange T-shirts. The front of the shirts will feature the organization’s name. Orange and blue are the colors used in the national anti-bullying campaign.
According to B.I.G. co-chair Cheryl Diderickson, participants in the T-shirt design contest ranged from elementary to high school age and were from Rippey, Jefferson and Grand Junction. All contestants will receive a free B.I.G. T-shirt.
B.I.G. will have an informational booth at the Bell Tower Festival this weekend. T-shirt order forms will be available.
